El Centro Mayor Backs Rick Gonzales For
State Assembly!
(El Centro, CA)—With only 7 months since announcing his intentions of
running for California’s 80th Assembly District—local El Centro Mayor
Rosanna Bayon Moore has announced her endorsement of Democratic Assembly
Candidate Rick Gonzales in his bid for the 80th State Assembly
District..
"It is important for us as elected officials to recognize and support
the next generation of lawmakers. I have known Rick for more than 20
years. He was born and raised in this Valley and he knows the
legislative process. I am confident he can serve our community in the
State Assembly. The Capitol will certainly benefit from his leadership.
,” said Mayor Rosanna Bayon Moore.
Gonzales was born and raised in the rural farming community located in
the heart of the Imperial Valley and attended Brawley’s local public
schools. He earned a Bachelors degree from San Diego State University in
Political Science and from there served the public in the nation’s
capital, Washington, D.C., by working in the Clinton-Gore Administration
and for Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard.
After earning a Masters in Business Administration from
the University of Southern California., Rick has returned to his
hometown to give back to his community. He currently works at Wells
Fargo where his group is responsible for making community development
investments in affordable housing, including in Imperial Valley, and

"I am honored and humbled to receive Rosanna’s full
support today—I will not let her nor the people of the 80th Assembly
District down, together we will put issues such as job creation,
economic development and the protection of our region’s water rights
back on the front burner!”
