THREE COACHELLA VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD MEMBERS ENDORSE RICK GONZALES FOR 80TH ASSEMBLY
Coachella Valley, CA (April 23, 2008) - Coachella Valley Unified School District Board Members, Gloria Maldonado, Anna Rodriguez and Maria Elvia Rios today announced their support for and endorsement of 80th Assembly Democratic candidate, Rick Gonzales.

"I am very proud to endorse Rick Gonzales for 80th Assembly District," said longtime Coachella Valley School Board Member, Gloria Maldonado. "He provides an example of hard work and leadership that will serve our communities well in the State Capitol. He is also the only candidate that combines a strong public service background with significant business experience. He understands the needs of our community and has the experience to get things done."

Maldonado, Rodriguez and Rios are the most recent Coachella Valley community leaders to join Rick Gonzales' string of district-wide supporters. Gonzales has received more support than any other candidate from local elected officials throughout the 80th Assembly District. He has also received endorsements from the majority of city council members from the three largest cities in the Imperial Valley, Brawley, El Centro and Calexico.

"I am honored to have the support of such fine community leaders," expressed Gonzales "I applaud and encourage their effort to strengthen Coachella's schools. This is very important to me, since my father served on the Brawley Elementary School Board for over 18 years. Residents of Coachella as well as all others in the Coachella Valley need leadership that they can rely on.
